Flashcards

Flashcards were hidden, limited, and forgettable. I redesigned them into a standalone tool with image support and a cleaner layout, setting the stage for a related longer-term product initiative to build a deeper study experience.

License Journey

One of the biggest call drivers for our customer support team was drivers ed students calling because they didn't understand what they needed to do before, during, or after the course to get their license. I worked with our development team to design a system to inject tasks between units to solve student confusion and reduce our call volume.

Virtual Instructor Chat

As part of a bigger initiative to increase engagement of our AI-powered Virtual Instructor I designed the chat experience to feel smooth, delightful, and familiar to remove the need for onboarding students to the experience.

Sleepy Virtual Instructor

AI being what it is (amazing, but sometimes inconsistent), we built in a mechanism to turn our AI-powered Virtual Instructor off globally. Since he was designed to be there when a student was struggling, I felt it would be more comforting if he were merely "asleep" instead of fully hidden if that happened.

Universal Course Player

Different types of courses across different states with different requirements and regulations. The design of the course player was intended to be flexible enough to handle Video courses, courses with voiceovers, and courses with time requirements.
